Ronaldo and Georgina confirmed their marriage on Instagram on Tuesday by sharing a photograph showing their wedding rings. Ronaldo captioned the post simply, “C❤️G.”
Now 41, Ronaldo first met Georgina in Madrid in 2016. The couple have been together ever since, building a life and family together. In August 2025, they announced their engagement after years of speculation surrounding their relationship.
Wedding Ceremony in Cascais
The wedding took place in Cascais, located around 20 miles west of Lisbon. The private civil ceremony was attended by their five children, making the occasion a particularly meaningful family celebration.
Rumors about Ronaldo and Georgina’s wedding had circulated on several occasions in the past. More recently, reports suggested that the couple would marry at the Funchal Cathedral on Portugal’s Madeira Island. The reports even attracted fans and members of the media to the cathedral. However, it was later revealed that another couple was getting married there.
Away from the speculation, Ronaldo and Georgina ultimately chose to celebrate their marriage privately in Cascais.
The wedding comes at a busy stage of Ronaldo’s football career. The Portuguese forward featured at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, joining Argentina’s Lionel Messi in appearing at a record number of men’s World Cups. At club level, Ronaldo continues to play for Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr.
After almost 10 years together, Ronaldo and Georgina have now taken the next major step in their relationship, officially beginning their married life as a family.
