Barcelona Provide Injury Update on Gavi

Barcelona began their La Liga campaign in style with a dominant win over Elche. However, there was a moment of concern late in the first half when Spanish midfielder Gavi felt discomfort in his knee. As a result, head coach Hansi Flick was forced to take him off in the 44th minute.

Less than 24 hours after the match, Barcelona released an official update on Gavi, bringing some much-needed relief to the club's supporters.

In their statement, Barcelona said: “Gavi suffered a knock to his right knee during yesterday’s match. Medical tests carried out this morning have confirmed that the injury is not serious and is expected to be no more than a bruise. He will return to normal training soon.”

The 20-year-old Spanish star also shared a message for his fans on social media. “Thank you so much to everyone who is always by my side, supports me, and stays with me through both the good and bad moments,” Gavi wrote in his post.
